The Age of the Storyteller

Yep, another sleepless night. Another journal page. Its weird though, I still get up at the same time!
I think I need to tweak this a little but I enjoyed putting these thoughts to paper. Nothing deep, just observations, but they've been chunkling around in my head forever, now they are committed to painty paper!

I had cut the image out at some point and saved it in my saving drawer (which is FULL by the way!) As I was rifling through it last night, there was the puppet master peeking at me through the curtains, saying "choose me". So I did because I knew they fitted my thoughts perfectly!
Lastly, I'm sure THIS will brighten your day, it certainly brightened mine when I received it in an email from a friend.

  3. On Antiques Roadshow they featured a housewife's diary of the building of the Forth rail bridge and how it was treasured by her family. Wouldn't it be wonderful to think that some part of our journally formed an archive for the future, although I'm afraid mine os rather ego-centric!

  10. Really like this Sandra...I don't think I'll forget this image in a hurry...! Like the message in the journalling too and have been thinking about this recently...love the experience of blogging but is it any less (or more) meaningful as keeping a diary that no-one sees until you're gone? We all need human contact but it's exciting that we can be and get involved in a much bigger world than generations past...ooh, that was quite profound for 10 at night! xx p.s. Was that your 60th post on you blog? Just noticed the number of posts in 2009 and the number in 2010 adds up to 60 - quite a milestone!

  11. Hang on a minute Sandral - I've been that busy emailing you that I haven't checked your blog for a couple of days (seeing as you had that whole where's the camera thing going on!!) and you, you sneaky minx, neglected to mentioned that you had been on there and blogged twice!! What's that all about! Mad Binge Blogger, that's what you are!! xx

  12. Ohhhh what a creepy image! Brilliant journal page, so true. I watched the clip - it made me weepy (I'm getting so bad for that lately!) but in a happy way, thank you for sharing it.

I had to pop by to say thank you for your beautiful comment yesterday, honestly I was knocked sideways by all the support. I wasn't expecting it. I have indeed set up a weight-loss blog here. So please do come by :)
